Buckskin Bill was a total jerk to my preschool class. Maybe his buckskins were rubbing him wrong that day during the Monday Morning March.

Famous or infamous moments from my beloved hometown, the Red Stick:
Barry Seal whacked.
That child molester, Jeff Doucet, gunned down live on the local news. That was unreal.
Jimmy Swaggart scandal.
Yoshi Hattori.
National Sports Festival (That's why we have the Natatorium)
National Balloon Championship (in true Baton Rouge style the first fatality in the history of this event happened here)
Explosion on Christmas Eve at the Exxon plant that shook the windows at my house in Broadmoor.
I am sure there are many others.

True enough. I never won, but some dumb arse kid who drew a rain cloud when it was sunny would always win. Damn you Mike! Damn you!

What was that burger joint in Cortana that had the shakes and the owner was always on the commercials? It was like a 50's place.

I think there is still some conspiracy theories about her dealth, but yea, it was a suicide. I saw a really great show on it on A&E(?) called City Confidential.
I remember Vernon Roger going on the morning news to apologise to his wife because he was involved. That was messed up.

Talk about your tragic stories. Vernon Roger led a troubled life. I drank a beer with him at one of the Earth Days in downtown BR in the early 90's.

He was another tragic figure. Cocaine got him and wouldn't let go.
