Medicare benefits…age vs disability

Signed up at 65 thereafter disabled. If I claim disability will my benefits increase ?

Medicare isn't a direct benefit, it's medical insurance.

Medicare is Medicare. There’s no extra benefits. If you are asking will your check increase, the answer to that is no as well. Not after 65.

Long answer is depends but short answer is no.

If your disability may indirectly make you eligible for additional assistance from the state which could then make you eligible for additional benefits through medicare advantage but it's not like adding a disability increases your benefits.

Depending on the disability and how much you qualify for Medicaid, you could qualify for what they call Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans.

With these, some carriers also offer spendable cards but depends on areas and qualifying amounts.

Basically Medicare would cover 80 and Medicaid picks up the rest.
