300 linear feet of driveway is going to be at least 40 cubic yards of concrete (at the minimum depth of 4"). This project will take more than $8k to sub out.

Few years back I did my 200 foot driveway for about 5k. I formed it up though

The concrete now is at least $110.00 per cubic yard with tax. For 40 cubic yards there's $4,500.00 right off the bat.

I've been maintaining one of my apartment complexes roads for 15 years now. I've always used limestone up until a couple years ago. Most of the haulers would bring me what they called Kentucky blue limestone, which is what I first used. It was big hard pieces of limestone. Over the past few years it changed to smaller pieces that didn't last. I found out it was Mexican limestone, but I got charged the Kentucky limestone rate.
I switched to crushed concrete. That didn't last long at all as it just washed away. After that I started using waste metal slag. That is literally the absolute best material I've ever put down on this road. I have about 800' of roadway to cover. At a price of $300 per 12 yards it's also pretty economical too.
