Lyft is usually more expensive by a lot when I need to get to MSY, so I use Uber then. Otherwise, I usually end up using Lyft.

Most drivers agree. And most drive for both. The majority of users use the Uber app so Uber can afford to be a little worse than Lyft

I average between $20 to $30 an hour when I drive. Take out about 25% between taxes and fuel. For easy side work that is as flexible as it gets, it's not bad money at all.
