I’ve done it both ways.
Without training you’ll be sore for a few days.
With training you’ll be sore sometimes during training but not post-race.
Pick your poison- especially if you factor running hills in your training
I prefer training though but I like running.

Currently do about 20 miles on the Sam’s Choice Peloton 3 x a week and I lift heavy 3-4 times per week. Should I just grease my nipples up and take off?
