I was able to take off work for the last 2 weeks after he had gotten really sick after 2 yrs of chemo and I spent his last 14 days in the hospital all day and overnight with him while he was there. So I was grateful I could be with him during that time. My family and our friends were great through it all and his funeral service was great. It was a beautiful day. He left behind 3 children, and 6 grandkids who adored him. He was truly our hero.
