We would get along just fine if he wouldn't continuously respond to me when I attack him. Just because I provoke him and make snide comments doesn't mean he has to be mean.
You say hideous things to me and I sometimes let them go by.

I've wanted to say this for a while. I think your approach to being jovial is where you make snide comments as a way to show people you are interested in them (no homo).
This might be a generational thing, but respect and courtesy is the way to befriend me.
