A prize like that would be really awesome because it doesn't force you to use a vendor you don't want to use at your wedding.

There was some fat loss wrap booth thing, and my friend was making fun of it (she's big into the traditional stuff--eating right and exercising). Then they started calling out the raffle prizes and that was one of them. I would have died laughing if she would have won it.

do you know where?

I lived in Reykjavík for about a year. while it was cold, it is not near as cold as the northern areas.

most of the northern areas see highs in the -20 range during the winter

Actually might rain here this afternoon. Waste Management Phoenix Open(huge PGA tour) starts today as well. So lots of stuff to do out here this week. I'm watching local Phoenix news right now and the announcers all excited about the Goodyear blimp being here right now

Watch out with those though...some will say you "won" something and they just want to get you to come to some presentation to buy expensive cookwear.

Tgr....doing great. Dropped my Jeep off this am to finally get repaired from that accident back in October. Sporting a ford Fusion the next couple days

Look for the blimp!!!

I saw it driving from gym about an hour ago.

They did just say on Arizona Midday on AZ12 that there is something going on today at Scottsdale Waterfront

Not to worry, I told a few vendors yesterday, and I quote, "No freaking way. You're too expensive. Sell that to some idiot whose dumb enough to pay that"

We were laughing at those too.

I think they gave away something related to State Farm, but I couldn't make out what it was.

Likely there to talk about policies for your ring. I have state farm and have a separate policy to cover my wedding set. That way if something happens to my ring I'm not having to have a claim against my renter's insurance.

Real Estate booth

Most newly married couples either are looking to buy right before they marry or after so not that unusual to see a real estate booth there. Smart marketing on their part really.

IDK, the whole thing just felt.. weird. The prizes might be the only reason to go, and even then, if you already have that type of stuff booked or your heart set on another vendor, do you just give it back?
