I came home the other day to find my wife trying to grill burgers and dogs for our dinner. She said she was planning on burgers for dinner and got the idea to try and cook them on my grill. I had to show her how to get the coals going in the chimney. Bless her heart she did pretty good on the burgers but the dogs were woefully undercooked. Course I ate mine and told her it was delicious.

Aww, that's sweet Darth. I've actually never grilled on a charcoal grill so I'd need pointers too.

I'm getting ready to buy a new one, mine has been left in the rain one too many times! It gets used a lot though.

I learned right after we got married a valuable lesson on a wife and her cooking. I’d been gone on Drill all weekend and she decided she was going to cook me a good dinner of fried chicken because I’d told her how much I loved my momma’s fried chicken growing up. I think we’d only been married maybe a month at this time. So I get home and there she is at the stove with a skillet full of bare chicken breasts. And by bare, I mean there was zero crust on them. I looked down and saw the chicken and like a dumbass I asked “did you forget to batter them?” She burst into tears andcsaid she tried but it all feel off. So to this day, whenever she cooks anything, I make a point to thank her for cooking it and tell her how good it is. Thankfully, 99% of the time I’m telling the truth.

It's a lot like using a gas grill, except the heat source is the burning charcoal.

I guess it’s simole to guys like us who’ve probably grilled thousands of dogs on a grill over the years. But this was her first time. They were not cold on the inside. But they were not good and grilled either.

I’m not totally opposed to outside stoves (aka gas “grills”). But at my house it’s charcoal or nothing.
