look im perscribed 3 bars a day 2mg*3 = 6mgs....i only take 1.5-2.0 max but its been 16 yrs so i can shoot 39 on front with full bar and rockstar usually hitting mid 80s.

My car tells me when I need an oil change, usually about 5-6k miles. This time it was 1k but I wasn't going that early because they're like $80. I've had to put two quarts in it

could be they didn't reset your computer when they changed the oil.
go to autozone and ask one of the guys to check the oil and if you don't need any, reset the computer and then get an oil change in 4k miles or so
