as far as les paul knock offs, i used to have an epiphone back in the day. it's only really a knock off in looks...doesn't really play or sound like one.

i think you'd look hot with a telecaster.

a tele is high on my list.

i'm learning to play blues.. i've never been a lead guitar player, always rhythm, so its like starting all over.

a medium grade tele, under $700?

don't let bushmaster see you mention blues and lead guitar in the same sentence, or he'll berate you about the pentatonic scale.

you could probably find a good used one for 700.

If we (App State) come to the N.O. Bowl and I make the trip, will you put together a good time?

I have a 'friend' who has maybe 50 guitars...He collects, buys and sells...I will ask him if he has any to make a deal on.

High Link. Hope you and yours are all doing well.

Hello Aspercel.

that's basically where I'm at with things. i never learned my scales so i'm working on the pentatonics and adding simple licks in here and there.

root or home notes have never made more sense to me than in the last month or so.

if the cajuns win this week, i think it's a done deal for them to go to the NO bowl.

i wont go under protest.

now, if you come down, i'll consider going.

G&L makes some sweet sounding telecasters. I've got a 64 strat that's my blues setup with an evil twin and two piggy backed tube screamers for soloing and an overdrive pedal set real low for clean.

Everything starts from the pentatonic and its 99 percent of rock music. I went through a SRV phase and learned and played all his stuff. I was obsessed for a while.

Tito's and deer jerky.

i never knew this until a month ago..

so you can teach old dogs new tricks

Guitar Center has some G&L Telecasters for $500.. I guess I need to go play one and see if that's the feel for me.

I wont be playing in a band.. just jamming with friends and with the kids. but I know I need something better than the squire

They make a semi hollow body that screams. They are good guitars even the mid level.
