Some of the shite in the Bible is no-doubt-about-it fiction. I forget, does Christianity require that you accept everything in the Bible as truth?

Actually I've studied it in pretty good detail including what it was like in the different parts of this nation. Afterall slavery is the reason one branch of my family tree ended up in La. The term "slavery" actually covers a broad range of situations over the course of so many years.

Jews as slaves for Jews (new testament times): "Debt bondage or bonded labor occurs when a person pledges himself or herself against a loan"
