Los Angeles...looking for place to stay?

Wife (no pics, sorry) and I are going to La Habra, CA, for a weekend in September for our nephew's baptism. We are thinking about using AirBNB and getting a place on/near the beach. Is this the best thing to do? If so, what beach city should we look at?

I don't know too much about air bnb, but I would recommend staying in Santa Monica if you want to be close to Los Angeles or Newport Beach or Laguna beach if you want to be in Orange County

Some Orange County Beach if you're in LaHabra. Newport or Huntington--Seal Beach is a bit off the beaten path, you might check that out.

My wife has stayed in Santa Monica before and likes it alot. We were thinking about booking a place there. We just didn't know if someone out there thinks another beach community is better than Santa Monica.

SaMo is fine, but the other cities are closer to LaHabra. Laguna is another place to check out.
