Looking for a used 2016+ or New Station Wagon around $25-30k. What's the best?

Title says it all. I am joining the rich folk who are letting go of their SUVs for station wagons. Never had one but had some great experiences as a teenager in my friend's mom's Ford LTD station wagon.

Almost bought an Audi wagon a while back. Looking for the OT's opinion on this. I'm in central Florida so heated seats and leather are a no go.

My short list:

Subaru Outback - Loved the Paul Hogan Commercials and then the Lance Armstrong ones



Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen - Looks decent and can get with a manual but maybe on the small side.




Buick Regal wagon - Don't know much about Buick.



Audi A4 - looks nice but would have to get used and Audi is expensive to repair and have a lot of issues.



Is there anything else out there? I know Volvo and Mercedes have 'em but out of my price range.







Also this brings up what happened to Koslowski? Definitely lacking the Diane Lane genome in her DNA. Poor Paul but then again he was like 25 years older than her back then. Must be 85 now.
