Bought a new tv yesterday.I've bought several Samsung and Vizio models the past 5 years. In the end, I went back to an old reliable brand this time: Sony, the 43 inch 43X800D.
It was a little more expensive than its Vizio and Samsung counterparts, but, the Vizio no longer has a tuner and the Samsung models were limited to 2 HDMI inputs.
The Sony has 4 HDMI inputs and instead of a 'closed system' of apps, it has an open Android system. It makes it a lot easier for me as I have an Android phone and tablet. Screen mirroring is easy, and, since the tv has Android, you can install Kodi directly onto the tv and not have to worry about an addon box.

I've had multiple Samsungs and they've all performed well and had long lives. Definitely an A+ on reliability.
If you go with a Samsung TV I recommend getting a Samsung sound bar, as well.

I just bought this one and have been happy with it.
I am going to try casting from my tablet later tonight.
I passed on the Vizio's because I did not want to use my tablet or phone as a remote.

Wrong.
Very durable for the money. I have a cpl that are several years old and not a lick of trouble.
