Thanks. I am doing well. Really feel Iike I've turned a corner the past three weeks or so. Three things have happened.

The main thing I think that's helps is I got a cardioversion done. That's where they shock your heart to put it in a regular rhythm. Before this my heart rate stayed around 130 all the time. Now it stays steady in the 60s.

A week before that I had about 2 liters of left over fluid from when I had my second heart surgery (the one they had to do on "that day that something happened") drained from around my left lung. This made a huge difference in my breathing because that fluid was basically keeping the bottom half of both my lungs from expanding.

The other thing was my wife started giving me iron pills which I think has helped me a lot. I lost a whole lot of blood the day of my second heart surgery, which some became the fluid I've had to had drained from around my lungs three times since getting out of the hospital. Between the three times, they've got about 6 or 7 liters of fluids that was around both lungs. The fluid was mostly blood that I'd lost on "that day". Anyway, even though they gave me a couple transfusions after the second surgery, I was still somewhat anemic due to all the blood I'd lost. I think I'm finally getting past that now.

I have an appointment with my heart surgeon on Tuesday and I'm guardedly optimistic he'll finally release me. My main goal now is to be released to ride again. Once I can do that, I'll consider myself pretty much back to normal.

Never cooked before. Winging it tomorrow, it was $3 and you just add flour and water.

If it sucks, I will still have bacon

Can't go wrong there.

I had some country ham and buttermilk biscuits this morning.

Oh hell yes it's substantial. The last time I got to ride was the about November 2nd I think. It was a few days before I went into the hospital.

I had my brother show my son how to start my bike so I could let it run to keep the battery up and engine lubed. Once I was strong enough to go outside, I would go out to the carport and crank it up myself. And I've had my brother take it out a few times to put it through its paces.

If I get the news I hope to get Tuesday, I'll probably take it to the Harley dealer this weekend to get it serviced and have my rear tire installed. I bought a tire last October and it's been in my closet ever since.

Hey Darth, listen to your body. Fluid it the number one killer for us heart failure people. I been fighting it from Nov, 2010. I go to Ochsner's heart transplant center once a month. Was there this pass Friday. Well, I started a new drug that has me swimming. Hoping it helps. If not, I will have to go back on Dubutamine. I'm not looking forward to that again. It's a PITA having a picc tube hanging out ones chest along with a IV pump hooked up 24/7.

Sorry, BUT, looking at it this way. Come April four years ago, they flat out told me and my wife to get things together. They were giving me less then 6 months.

I'm beating this crap.
