Hacksaw and a bunch others lived in Pineville.

Jake the Snake, Dibiase, The Steiners.

Bill Superstar Dundee ran a stop sign and hit a girl from my high schools car on the way to school. My gf was riding with her. He had a pinkish purplish IROC Z-28 and was a complete dick about the whole thing.

My mom worked at a little gas station on the hwy back in the 1980's. I saw the Rock N roll express with Jim cornette once. I met Terry Taylor, Ted Debosie, Jake the snake roberts. Mom got a bunch of the others autographs that we still have. Jyd, hacksaw, etc. Loved me some mid south wrastling back in the day.

Yep their main events were in Alexandria, Lafayette, and Baton Rouge. They all traveled together in mostly vans.

Loved me some Jim. He was nice in person and acted nothing like he did on tv.

Memphis wrestling was also called Midsouth.

Jerry Lawler was top guy. Handsome Jimmy, Kamala, Plowboy Frayser, Austin Idol, Coco B Ware were some of the big names there.

I don’t think it was associated with LA midsouth. Although some performers did both. Usually part of a story line.

Sid Vicious started in Memphis. He’s from somewhere on Pioneers side of the river.

They’re the same thing. I worked with his cousin. Those dudes loved to get fricked up. Sid Vicious was probably the largest human I’ve ever seen.

All the Von Ericks died prematurely.

Kerry was the most popular. He either suicided or od’d.

Lol I called Sid Vicious Sidney in the earlier post. Come at me right Sid probably dead too.

I bet most of those old wrestlers died because of illegal drugs or steroids. They put their bodies through hell.

Sid was allergic to alcohol. Every time he came to the bar to see his cousin, after about 10 drinks he would break out in cocaine.

They worked close to 340 days of the year.

Most of them worked 8 matches a week. Body gets beat up.
