Bummer. Moving on...have you ever had a friend who was bipolar that stopped taking their meds and goes manic? If so, how do you convince them to get back on their meds?

Happens all the time. The only thing is you either convince them to start or take them to an ER and get them PEC's for being gravely disabled

Hello! I spent about two hours on the phone yesterday with a friend i had not talked to in awhile after he started posting crazy rambling rants on fb. I reached out to him and found out he had been off his meds for two days and hadnt slept. I mostly just let him ramble from one thought to the next and would try to throw in "maybe if you took your medicine" or "maybe it's time to lay down and take a nap and recharge". It was the craziest rollercoaster of a convo i have ever had sober. Said he lost all his friends, which concerned me even more.
