I'm in desperate need of large t-shirts. All my stuff is XL or even XXL and now they swallow me whole.

Don't laugh. I should be taking them every eight hours but I limit myself to only one a day at bedtime.

Still an opioid addict.
Just a hint for the future, don't buy the h in the gum wrappers.
I don't care if it feels like your being stabbed in the dick, get off those.

I can promise you I'm not addicted. Like I said, with the level of pain I live with right now, I could be eating them like candy and nobody, including my surgeons and doctors would blink an eye. But I've seen what can happen to people on this type of medication and I've been very careful to limit myself, even if that means living with a lot of pain. I'm about out of my prescription and when they're gone, that's it. I'm done with them.
I am however quite addicted to my nightly cup of orange sherbert.

If you've taken more than 5-6 pills over a 3 day period, odds are you're going to go through withdrawals.

I've not taken more than one dose per day since they had me on a Dilaudid drip through my IV.
Like I said, I only take one per day, no matter what.

Darth Vader took one in the gut during the Waco biker shoot out.
i myself don't usually advocate opioids. but seeing as how he was gut shot, he may actually need them.

I wish that's all it was. I actually had my chest cracked open twice for two heart surgeries.
First was open heart surgery to do a double bypass and instal an artificial mitral valve.
The second was exactly a week later to do emergency surgery to open a "window" in the membrane around my heart to allow blood to drain out so it could start beating again.

let me tell the story. nobody even knows what a mitral valve is or what it does.
surviving a gut shot will get you laid.

She is. One more big step back to a normal life. And considering the hell and nightmares that poor woman has been through over these pst few months, she's very ready for life to get back to normal for us.

She HATES that term. I promised her before we ever got married I'd never call her that. We've been married 20 years this July and I can honestly say I've never once broke that promise.
