SAN DIEGO, CA. (October 15, 2015) – Many of us have surveyed a piece of land by eye and figured out how to get a few golf holes there. Whether it’s your backyard or somewhere else, those who love golf often picture a course of their design in their mind’s eye. But have you ever done it at a major league baseball park?

Callaway Golf and the San Diego Padres have just announced “The Links at Petco Park,” a nine-hole golf experience in the heart of the Gaslamp District in downtown San Diego, November 5th though 8th, 2015.

While San Diego is a popular golf destination, golf has never been played in a place like this. Golfers will have an opportunity to play shots from themed tees along a course that’s been ingeniously designed within the ballpark, with various holes offering corresponding snacks and beverages. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to win prizes, like the new Great Big Bertha driver.

“San Diego is a premier golf destination and Callaway is a premier golf brand, so partnering on this event makes perfect sense,” said Padres Vice President of Corporate and Event Revenue Jeremy Horowitz. “The opportunity to play golf inside a Major League ballpark does not come along every day. We are looking forward to working with Callaway to make this an unforgettable experience, and to seeing our partnership grow over the coming years.”

No golf cart needed for this trek. No need to carry your bag – Callaway provides the clubs and the balls. And no opening-drive jitters, either, as the first hole is a putting green in the Padres’ dugout. Holes 2 through 5 are located on the upper deck of Petco Park, where golfers will hit shots from the elevated tees onto various points on the field.

Golfers move back to field level for the 6th hole, teeing off near the Western Metal Supply Co. building in left field before moving onto the 7th hole, located at the Batter’s Eye in center field. The 8th is a putting hole located in the bullpen, and to finish things off, the 9th and final hole will be located atop the roof of the Western Metal Supply Co. building.

Players will end their round in The Loft presented by Budweiser, which will be redesigned into a Callaway clubhouse. There will be plenty of room to relax, enjoy additional food and beverages, watch the other players on the course, and shop for special commemorative items.

It’s truly a one-of-a-kind golf experience unlike any other.

“We’re always trying to provide authentic golf experiences with our products that are unique and engaging, and that’s exactly what this partnership with the Padres is about,” said Callaway Sr. VP of Marketing Harry Arnett. “Playing a nine-hole course at a venue like Petco Park with Callaway golf clubs and balls will be a once-in-a-lifetime round, and we are excited to be a part of it.”

Zephyr stadium is already a multi tiered venue that sells beer. Run some RFID sensor and track people's progress on different "holes".

It would be a different take on it... in the sense that you move to different shooting locations. (and likely take 5-10 shots per location).

Although, I see wayward balls from other tee locations as a likely problem.

I'm aware. I meant a "Top Golf" like experience... RFID tracked golfballs while drinking.

Why? I didn't draw that map. That's from the link I posted... which I doubt you spent 2 seconds to click on. You read top Golf in metairie and assumed what I was posting.

I edited the post for the lazy people like yourself.

that green in short center is going to get someone killed.

I would tune in if they had pros doing this.

if not then I cant wait for the YouTube "Hits"

that being said I would love it if Minute Maid Park did this.
