Seriously, I know several high school football officials and they would run circles around you regarding rules, etc. Don’t be a prick. It’s youth sports.
What I see now across sports is autistic middle aged guys, cranky old dudes, and a few talented officials.

Sorry your team lost. Mine did also but I’m not gonna bitch about the refs

Carl the Cat could fix all of this if LHSAA stopped holding him back!

The LHSAA does a very poor job with its officiating. All weekend long the officials were poor and in some situations didn’t seem to apply the rules correctly. Also, you play the whole season with no replay review and all of a sudden you use it in the championship game. There were numerous times when nobody knew what was going on and whether a play should be reviewed or not. The penalty on the Shaw kid was the right call but the timeout should not have been returned to SCC because the penalty occurred after the timeout was called. Earlier in the game SCC was gifted a touchdown and Shaw was given a first down that was short and never reviewed after two other first downs were reviewed on the same drive. Just overall chaos on part of the officials. The LHSAA needs to do better!
Officials have nothing to do with wether or not a play is reviewed. All scoring plays and turnovers are reviewed by booth.
What rules were not applied correctly?
The time has been explained multiple times.
Overall the officiating was very solid in the 8 games.

quote:At the HS level you really don't deal with fans(not in football or baseball anyway) schools by and large do a good job of keeping fans under control. It's before hs were it's rough mainly because people don't realize the rules differences.
No one wants to do it anymore because it's not worth dealing with the increasingly shitty public.
All I know is when I show up for a game coaches are never not happy to see me.
Many officials put in twice as much time a week in preparation for a game than in a game.
Nobody ever played, coached or officiated a perfect game.

There’s a huge shortage of officials. Appreciate them unless you can do better
