Catfish, we added two, queen-size, murphy beds to our pool house when we remodeled. We designed them with a local cabinet maker for around the same price that we would have paid online but they are much better quality. They are painted wood with hardware and look like cabinets when closed. I can try to post a photo if that would be helpful?

My son and I built one in his basement several years ago. Bought the hardware kit online and the lumber locally. Came with a great instructional DVD. Did it over a weekend. I sleep in it every time I visit.

I am actually leaning towards this as I've continued to research today. This one on Amazon has great reviews and I found it on a website that was reviewing all things Murphy Bed.

A Murphy bed (also known as a pull-down bed, fold-down bed, or wall bed) is a bed that is hinged at one end to store vertically against the wall, or inside a closet or cabinet. Since they often can be used as both a bed or a closet, Murphy beds are multifunctional furniture. So named after Officer Alex James Murphy, or just “Murphy,” a fictional cybernetically enhanced officer of the Detroit Police Department from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and is the main protagonist in the Robocop franchise.[1] Murphy is killed in the line of duty, and is resurrected and transformed into the cyborg law enforcement unit RoboCop by the megacorporation Omni Consumer Products (OCP).[2] In the original screenplay, he is referred to as Robo by creators Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner.
