Also doesnt work that way with kids friends. Your kids might know gun safety, but daddyless Johnny from down the street doesnt. Why not prevent something thats easily preventable.

Because you just never know when you're going to need multiple loaded firearms easily accessible throughout your house. Who is to say that the government won't come after you Jason Bourne-style at any given moment???

I don't understand how this happens.

Parenting. Or should I say, lack of parenting. Like someone else said,
"An unloaded gun locked away in a safe doesn't do you much good".

I'm not judging, but I wonder what goes on through a kid's head when he does this. I mean, was he surprised that he blew his brother's face off?

By the time I was 9 I was well aware of what would happen if I touched a gun, and my parents taught me absolutely nothing about gun safety or use.

I got my first gun at 7 years old for Christmas, it was a 10-22 with 30 round mags!

Teach your kids about guns!!!

Bingo. Amazing huh? Never taught my kids anything about guns either and they nor their friends have ever been "accidentally" shot. Not rocket science that they can kill you.

Just curious, why didn't you publish a PSA to lock up your car keys, since a hell of a lot more kids are backed over by family members than shot every single year.

SJW, it's more like easily accessible to me and my wife. And loaded is different than chambered. I have loaded weapons at my disposal and some are chambered only at my disposal.

Sorry to burst your little bubble, but my kids don't play with guns at all. They respect and fear the dangers. They are not stupid little shits that go showing off guns to their friends. Primarily because they don't know where to look, secondly they are not stupid enough to try.
