LED bulb popping noise

Bought a bunch of indoor LED bulbs to put in recessed lights. A few of them make a small popping noise when you first cut them on.
Is that normal? House gonna burn down?

Do you have dimmers?
ETA - if so you have to buy dimmable led bulbs

Might be time to replace.
They lied on the box that these things will last 7 or 9 years.
I have had some go after a few months.
Be sure to change them before they start blinking.

Dimmer in bedroom, but the mud room doesn’t.
They usually will make a little pop as you turn them on or just after, the don’t keep popping

Dimmer could be it.
Nondimmable bulbs are usually the cheap LEDs.
Most household dimmers regulate the voltage and reduce the voltage to dim the light.
Dimmable LEDs will have some circuitry to accept the lower voltage and dim the light. Nondimmable bulbs do not have this circuitry and will kept transforming the voltage to try to run the light and eventually damaging the ballast.

Gotcha. I installed the wrong ones in my house right when we moved in and they popped, flickered and a few of them even smoked before I realized it

You may also need to buy different dimmmers. I am replacing all of them at work so that the LED's will last longer. If you buy Cree bulbs from Home Depot and they aren't lasting the amount of time they say they will they will send you replacements no questions asked.
