is the majority of the shite hole that is Orleans Parish going to vote to re elect her?
What’s sad is people try to act like it’s a poor or a race thing but the vast majority of all the old white money not only voted for her they threw her fundraisers and whored for her. Watching that is what drove the final nail in the coffin of any faith I had in that city. It’s really fricking sad.
New Orleans: The city of wasted potential.

I called and asked if I could talk about Destroya.
I promptly got hung up on.

From Reddit:

While there is an agreement with Entergy to not issue late fees through May 31, it is on an as needed basis.
While the state is on a 14 day downward trend, the NOLA area is on a 21 day downward trend.
There were a little over 400 deaths in the NOLA area, mostly African American males.
The original models had NOLA projected at over 1200 deaths.
Restaurants will open at 25%, but you will need to leave your name and phone #. She says this is no different than a reservations system.
The physician said that there aren't hard numbers for what could force another shut down, but any sort of rapid increase would force us back to shutdown. LaToya stated that she won't ever scale back from Phase 2 to Phase 1, it will just be a total shutdown again.
Physician said we haven't seen meaningful mutations (doesn't say if this is local or more broad). She does say there are some very rare complications, and it may look like mutations as we see more rare presentations simply because there is a larger pool of people that have been exposed.
City Hall is still closed to the public. You may call or go online.
She says unless you are working out, you need to wear a face covering in public. She said they are now required. (No word on enforcement)
When asked why she is opening on the 16th instead of the 15th, she replied with why change? The person that posed the question asked her since she previously stated she was relying on the data and not the date, what data is she relying on? She responded with, "Well that's the date I set".
There will be swimming pool guidelines. No clarity on what they are, but hinted that they would be relaxed.
Churches at 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever number is smaller.
RE: unemployment for people whose place of employment is open but don't feel safe going back: She said you will still receive unemployment and then she was corrected that you would not. She clearly didn't know. She advised you request lower hours to still be eligible for unemployment.
Gyms will allow for personal training, but no group classes, showers, spas.
Interrupted by emergency alert system test.
Fire Marshall's website has a list of what is open and not.
If hotels are closed, it is based on the hotel's decision, not the state/city.
Says she can't give a timeline for moving to Phase 2 or back to normal.
Says schools won't reopen if we don't make it out of Phase 1 (was an offhand comment, bit sure if she meant to actually say that).
She says she meets with tourism leaders every Wednesday. Physician pointed out that increasing tourism would open us to infection from people who were in areas that weren't social distancing.
I haven't really heard anything regarding what is open and what is closed that greatly differed from JBE's announcement.
There will be a press conference this afternoon. More digital town halls in the future.

Well done.
There is no question in my mind that she does not want to go to phase 2.

She can't answer even the most basic questions without resorting to "because I said so."
