People like pictures while reading. Especially stuff on the internet
Yup.
If you look at most of my long threads, I try to have enough visual content to break up the paragraphs and make it less daunting.
You have to know your audience, I feel.
The internet is the domain of slideshows and tweets. Short attention spans, and the OT isn’t much different.
Doesn’t matter the quality of your content if the format is like being punched in the face with a wall of text, people will get frustrated and move on to the next Butterfly. That’s why Reddit sucks arse.
So i’ve developed a formula for maximum quality content Delivery on the OT.
1 clear and concise thread Title letting the reader know what lies ahead,
2 relavent and well labeled links to pertinent information, no blind links.
3 quality reading content, engaging, well written, mostly error free, all broken up with interesting visual aids.
Follow this and you’ve usually got a decent thread

All I know is Karl Broberg is the elite LA trainer
Posted on 5/22/19 at 11:13 pm to Winston Cup
He’s a fricking butcher and a cheat. I have less nice things to say about him than the other trainer who shall not be named.
He was the one person I was terrified would claim Ken. He’s the person that nobody wants to see get their horse bc if you ever get it back it’s held together with duct tape and joint injections.

Oh come on, it’s mounted cavalry. A reality of war.
But i’m Going to give some glory to the horses as well. You might enjoy it.

Just be sure to get your horse facts right.
Winston, you have no idea
I could tell some stories but probably not a good idea on a public board.
Why is it so fun to trigger me?

How versed are you in Middle Ages mounted combat? I’m trying my absolute best to remain as factual and true to reality as possible in this series. I might email you with horse questions if I have any.
I don’t believe horseshoes or stirrups had been developed yet in that period, did you know?
Posted on 5/22/19 at 11:38 pm to fr33manator
No idea.
But get your horse behavior correct
Feel free to email but I know nothing of combat except that the book war horse made my cry and I will never touch it again

I know that unless trained, horses will not run into walls of spears and shields, correct? Kind of like they have to Be trained in...what is the jumping thing? Not dressage...
Posted on 5/22/19 at 11:42 pm to fr33manator
Jumping.
But dressage has to be trained as well. And it’s all based on cavalry stuff anyway.
They will generally run away from things when given the choice
