last few times i asked for shite like that, the person behind the counter looked at me like i was ruining their day.

lady at fresh market looked at me like i had a dick on my forehead when i asked her to ground some brisket for some burgers

guy at calandros looked at me like i asked him to build a house when i wanted a top round sliced thin for some jerky

I stopped cooking every night when my son turned 16 & got a truck.

A lot of times I make meatloaf by mixing salsa, bread crumbs, and ground beef. It beats chopping up onions and celery and stuff. I might throw in an egg if it looks like it needs it. My husband likes it that way.

My mom used to put bacon strips on top of meatloaf.

That sucks. My butchers always hook it up in store

I get ribeyes and have them freeze it barely and slice it super thin for cheesesteak while I shop for my other groceries

my mom still has food ready at 5:30 when my dad gets home. he literally walks in the door, sits at the table, and food is there.

I can't even imagine what it would be like to grow up that way.

I didn't say I didn't cook at all but if I know he won't be home to eat, I won't cook.

I can eat toast or throw together a salad.
