What makes me a 'try hard'? Actually curious?

Is it because I actually talk about myself and try and inquire about others and keep the convo moving. Of course sometimes I'll push an issue or try and be a bit funny by giving caricature type OT responses like saying 'her belly button ring is trashy, iwnhi' to a supermodel or some shite.... which isn't even funny except for some fricks early try to pull stunts like that.... I for the most part share much much more than most other posters and post about true on-goings in my life, and it gets me tons of downvotes. I can only imagine out of jealousy
