Sure is. My Ultra Classic was just too heavy now after my recovery. Mechanic at Riders Harley in Trussville had this Vrod and we basically did an even swap. I love it.

Darth, you are awfully frail to be up inside an "able bodied posters only" thread.

Awesome. I have a 2002 Vrod and absolutely love the bike. Not a regular rider though. Definitely not in a club with all the patch rules.

Just because I can get the sweet parking spot at Golden Corral doesn’t mean I’m not fit.

I ride mine all the time. As for club rules, I don’t know if any club that it would not meet all the required bike requirements.

American made (x)
Over 750 CC (x)
Manual transmission (x)

I just love the overall comfort of its ride and the way it handles the road. It’s like it exists for curves. Only thing I wish I could change is a bigger fuel tank.

My neighbor and I are about to be empty-nesters, and he's looking at some sweet matte black low riders for sale, used. He wants to start riding (again) and so do I.

I am totally not in the biker culture, but like to ride. Problem is, in recent years, my job has me on the road alot, so the last thing I want to do on a Saturday is get out on the Louisiana roads again.

I think this is the year I refurb my bike and get back in business.

There are aftermarket solutions. Mine is unchanged (i forgot what capacity it is, I think 2.5 gallons) but my mileage is about 36 MPG. Check yours.

Good for both of you. Enjoy it while you can.

That’s no problem far as I’m concerened. I’m not one of those who look down on those different from me. I wore a three peice patch for years and now wear a B.A.C.A. patch on my bike. I still have friends who ride everything from Goldwings to BMWs.

Don’t waste any time. Go for it. And enjoy every mile.

Yep. That’s about that I’m getting.
