If it’s a debit card, the pre authorization reduces your cash temporarily.
The CC works on a monthly statement. So, while it might have a temporary authorization on your acct balance, it will fall off.
The temp charge on the debit card reduces your cash available in your checking acct. Using a CC doesn’t affect your cash position. Much bigger deal.
