In the face of tragedy and with national and international eyes upon them, the law enforcement agencies of Louisiana have acted with nothing but the upmost diligence, professionalism, and respect for both the victims and the media circus that surrounds them.
Sadly, as an ex-Yankee myself, I know of a few Northern SJW types who, upon seeing a mass shooting in a southern town they've never heard of, were sadistically looking forward to "Barney Fife and Gomer Pyle Investigate a Mass Shooting" playing out on national TV.

So, in other words, they did their job.

I hate to say this, so don't take it the wrong way. The Mickey Shunik case and DTL was probably the reason for this. Those murders and the solving of them probably gave the LPD, LPSD, and State Police alot of practice on public relations, processing evidence, scenes of crimes, etc...

They have certainly done their job. Good police work by all the agencies involved. As should be expected

Worse - suburbs of Chicago.
Makes sense. The splinter in someone else's eye is always worse than the log in your own.

BRPD and NOPD would have dropped the ball and lived up to the stereotypes

Your probably right as would Jackson PD.
