Krewe of Orion - Do they close off nearby streets?

Downtown gets closed off about 3 hours before Spanish town starts. Do they do the same for the parade tonight? I know it's not nearly as big so I wonder if they treat it the same.

Yes, tho' not necessarily 3 hours before. Maybe 1-1 1/2 hours.

Show up time for cops working the traffic assignments is 5pm.

Parade rolls at 6:30pm.

Street won’t close till 6pm or so.

Spanish Town is way bigger in attendance. Apples to oranges comparing the two.

Thanks. You were spot on. Cops showed up to the street corners around 5 and the streets closed at 6pm.
