But it’s bullshite because it didn’t flood like it did because of the natural rising of the lake.

The engineers purposely opened the Conroe dam and flooded Kingwood downstream so that the houses on Lake Conroe wouldn’t flood.

That’s what everyone in Kingwood is pissed about and they are suing from what I understand.

The water was going to go downstream one way or the other. Either by a controlled opening, or the dam failing. Gravity is a bitch.

Yeah possibly could have been worse if the damn had failed which some think it would have. People are just upset. Now there is so much sand and shite in the lake/river that shite floods with 4 inches of rain.

The flooding issue was not much different than Baton Rouge. Some parts of Kingwood are in a flood plain. No one is totally shocked when those parts flood. The flooding shockingly matched up with flood maps. The majority of Kingwood not in flood plains did not flood.
