Same thing happened in SC a few years ago. Had a nice palmetto tree in a sunset and the Carolina alumni in state Congress got pissed alleging the plate was a Clemson plate.
Now it’s the same design but in a bland arse blue and white motif

In my experience the hatred from Missouri towards Kansas is a lot stronger than Kansas towards Missouri. And I say that as a someone who grew up on the Missouri side. The KC Star REALLY hates them some Johnson County, in particular. Sorry, Missouri can't have a share of the Overland Park income. Get over it.
