I'll paraphrase some, hit the good lines. I wish that I would have recorded it. She kept saying in a foreign accent (sounded asian) that she represents a national tax rights advocate. It's obvious everything was a poorly written script.

Her: Am I speaking to Mr. Guess?

Me: Yes

Her: I'm calling from I don't remember. We have notifications that you haven't paid your taxes in years.

Her: Is your adress still 350 OT dr, Bumfrick La.

Me: yes

Her: What is a good email address where we can contact you?

Me: I'd prefer to receive regular mail

She goes on to ask me to verify personal info like middle name zip code and some other stuff. I'm like like no you called me.

Her: Are you still in Bumfrick, La

Me: Yes

Me: Where is La?

Her: Uuuhhh Los Angeles.

Me: Yes

Me: (now laughing) How do we fix this issue

She hangs up. The also kept saying that I didn't need a credit card so I wanted to at least get to the point where they asked for a wire transfer or gift card, but I guess the laugh got me.

Maybe so. Whenever I do decide to answer or call back, I try to waste their time as much as possible so at least they aren't scamming and hustling people who may actually fall for it.

Just playing my part to help since it's still a problem no matter how many laws are passed.
