DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Prosecutors want to present text messages and a life insurance policy at the trial of a Bucks County woman accused of killing a pharmaceutical executive in his Washington Crossing home last summer.

Michael McNew was found dead in his home in August 2017, with a single gunshot wound to his face.

Jennifer Morrissey, 34, has been charged with his murder.

Among pre-trial arguments, prosecutors are asking to present text messages recovered from Morrissey's phone.

According to court filings, Morrissey was living with McNew, and on the day of his murder, the two were arguing via text message over her relationship with the leader of The Breed Motorcycle Club, Charles "Ruthless" Kulow.

McNew threatened to move Morrissey's belongings into storage, adding he would no longer pay her court costs and that she was not welcome in his home. Among Morrissey's replies, she told McNew to get his gun ready because she was on her way, adding, "I'll gut you like I’m field dressing a deer."
