thanks for response. This is the point that's so bizarre. Everyone has a different answer, which is to be expected.

I've heard people say the exact opposite and aggressively following up proves you want to be there. It's all ridiculous.

I've hired a dozen or so people and always make a point to give dates on when things are to happen and be responsive. Oh well.
