Dude is trying to get laid. He only has about 14 days a year to seal the deal. Cut him some slack....imagine the shite you'd do if you had to attract a new mate and close the deal in 14 days once every year and the 14 days started without any warning....some pretty sweet singing in the wee hours of the morning would be the least objectionable thing most of us would do....

I had one doing that shite back in early spring. It would start around 9:00 pm and go until 11:00 pm or later.
It's amazing how loud one bird is when everything else is quiet.
