I dont think it is personally.


But I also think the Apparent fear and energy surrounding it arise from a number of various reasons. Some valid, others not.

1) It seems to have appeared rather quickly from a heavily populated and unsanitary place in China.

2) It then spread to various other countries quickly as well which means its reasonably contagious as well as having not too severe initial symptoms.(otherwise people wouldve been too sick to travel is the thought)

3) While Coronaviruses are comment and simlar to the Rhinovirus in symptoms, this one is uniquely potent

4) The deaths appeared in china and internationally people are worried because China is well known for its control over all media coverage and also for covering up/underreporting huge losses of life due to disasters in their borders.

5) It continues to kill people infected while also spreading (deaths arent high and still limited to old/very young but that doesnt exactly help)

6) media spin for views (of course)

7) Ignorant people unaware of how bad the flu is every yera.
