Is Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society legit or worth it?

My son just got an invite for it and I'm interested in knowing anyone's thoughts or experiences with it. He's technically a junior, though he's really only in his second full semester in college thanks to all the DA and AP classes he took in high school. BTW, he's at ULL.
He's gotten a bunch of others that all seemed to be either scams or nothing worth joining but this looks a little different, and since I have no personal experience with it I figured I'd ask.

They would love to have your recurring payment annually in perpetuity. Looks good on the resume. Pay for the first year, get inducted, never pay again.

for profit honor societies are scams... but can't say I never fell for it lol
