Apparently everyone outside of NO is scared shitless of the headlines about what goes on there. And the people there couldnt give any fricks cause they love it there....anyone recently read the Houston Chronical, the LA Times or God forbid the Chicago Tribune? I know an Israeli who thinks America is shite and would rather live in the middle east.

My point is if your scared say your scared...but you shouldnt constantly live in fear.

Terrible, nihilistic, satanic crime sprees in the inner city don't matter because cities are fun and people who live in suburbs are weak mane!

Even the news in small towns loves to scare the shite out of the locals.

The Monroe local news does a story on every murder in the state. Monroe and Shreveport stations lead with murders from somewhere every night.

I lived in the Park Lane Fair Oaks (Five Points) area of Dallas for about 12 years. We had a DPD substation in an apartment complex about 10 blocks away from my condo. Walked and rode my bike all over the neighborhood cause I ain't scared.

Here is a sampling of some of the hotspots that Dallas police target every day: Five Points (northeast Dallas near Park Lane and Fair Oaks Avenue): The second-biggest crime hotspot in Dallas has had 19 more robberies this year than it had at the same time last year.

What you should know about the increase in violent crime in Dallas

quote:

Since the start of March, Dallas Police assigned 170 officers to its Violent Crime Task Force. Forest & Audelia, along with Park Lane & Fair Oaks join the Ross & Bennett areas on the violent crime list.

No news represents the world accurately because accuracy doesn't sell papers.

If they reported crime is at an all time low, as is poverty and world hunger, education is at an all time high, as is world health, and in reality no one's life in the United States is really that bad compared to most other countries people wouldnt watch the fricking news.

But if they sensationalize every minor occurrence and spend weeks analyzeing the most extreme batshit views of the public while pretending they're mainstream then they get the attention of the plebians. The great unwashed masses.

Look at the news during Trumps run for president.

Every single local and national media outlet in almost every state continually said he didn't stand a chance and everyone hated him and all they did was interview people that hated him and yet he crushed state after state and forced the withdrawal of every other candidate. If the news was halfway accurate they'd have at least covered his side of the shite.

My neighborhood was all one and two bedroom, singles only apartments and condos when I bought. The feds decided singles only was unconstitutional so the neighborhood went down. In Texas, immediate family can live four to a one bedroom apartment. The illegals live six and more to theirs. Most of the neighborhood is from below the border now, but one part has a high African population (the Ebola cases from Presbyterian Hospital came from there) and there are also a lot of Eastern Europeans there now. Lots of different cultures in my old neighborhood.

We got the bubble headed
Bleached blonde
Comes on at five
She can tell you 'bout the plane crash
With a gleam in her eye
It's interesting when people die
Give us dirty laundry
- Don Henley

Pretty much sums up the local news. If it bleeds, it leads.

You should see the local Houston news when the temperature threatens to drop below 32 degrees.
