Some people will probably show up, do the installation. Keep an eye on them. (They have a "panty market", where they take panties from the woman living there and trade or sell.) Anyways, they'll do what they do. May charge you a small fee. Show you how to use your remote. Maybe get some feed back and leave.

All of them over compress their "HD" channels and over the air HD CHANNELS will look better as well bluray will be far superior. Your video stream will only drop out during the worst rainfall as long as you have a good shot of the sats.

AT&T customer service has always been shite. Lucky us DTV customer will begin to suck extra hard now that they're owned by AT&T.

I had Directv for two years. Directv touts their 99.9% reliability rating to everyone but we in the south probably make up the .1% they claim to be not so reliable. DirecTV requires a clear view to the sky, so if the sky clouds up and there is a storm brewing, you will only be able to access DVR. Stuff that is recording will also not be able to record. DirecTV is awesome when it works and an epic failure when it fails you in the middle of an important game.

I think some of you had your dog point the dish. The only time I ever (might) lose signal is if it's sideways raining buckets. Then again, I know how to point the dish and get 95% and above on all satellites.

DirecTv installed mine and the dude knew his stuff and was really cool. Like I said, the service is great when it works. It did fail when the weather got bad during games I was interested in.

Obviously, he didn't, or you wouldn't lose signal as easily as you state that you do. When the dish is pointed properly, a piss stream outside doesn't make you lose signal.

And you sir are trying to deceive people if you are trying to proclaim that customers will never lose a signal with satellite service.

You might want to reread what I typed above. I'll quote again what I said above: "The only time I ever (might) lose signal is if it's sideways raining buckets."
