Does anybody take these people seriously?

I overhead a conversation and the guy was describing his trashy domestic disputed relationship with his baby mamma and all the charges they both racked up over the years. He's too poor to afford a lawyer and is apparently getting some kind of runaround. In closing he's apparently going to "sue the piss out of" the parish, the judge, and the DA.

I wanted to turn around and ask him how we can afford a lawyer to sue anybody if he can't afford one to defend his trashy self.

Gotta love the poors. You'd think they'd all be rich now considering they're suing everybody including judges.

Worked with a lady (temporarily) that made a living out of suing. And at the hearing, or trial, you weren't allowed to bring up how many times she had sued others. Had a habit of falling down.

Gregg Abbott(TX gov) loves to boast that he sued Obama more than anyone else during his time as potus

ETA: he is paralyzed from the waste down due to a tree limb falling on him while he was jogging, sued the hell out of everything and everybody, made a nice little multi-million dollar nest egg out of the deal, then went on a rampage(successfully,) to limit liability/payouts to other "victim' of similar incidents

I keep a lawyer on retainer for the times I'm in the mood to sue. Usually only trying to sue about two or three times a week though.

Some people make a living out of suing other for them not following all the building regulations. Like the mirror in the bathroom could be too low or too high, etc.

My bat shite crazy ex-wife was sue happy. Always threatening to sue anyone over the most trivial things. She actually filed a couple of suits in small claims court - never won anything.
