Yes, where you been? That's why I recommend buying long term care insurance or have the property transferred out their name ASAP. Medicaid looks back 5 years

If things work out in your favor, sell the house. You don't want to be a landlord from 1/2 way across the country.

No doubt there, my thinking was to get some revenue to cover expenses while I decided what to do. They claim 4.15 is the final deadline.

I also own some attorney insurance through my work which provided some advice, but I probably need to call them again.

Housing market is hot right now. Pay taxes, rent it out month to month and put it on the market. Even if they come after you for medical bills you can pay those when you sell house and still profit

Here in TX they put it in the paper. After 30 days or so, it’s no longer a debt if no claim was made during those 30 days
