Gave eulogy for my maternal grandfather and my father.

Wrote out about a page and a half for my grandfather. Very prepared and fought hard through it.

Did not pen a word for my dad. Got through without a hitch, but have no clue what I said. I was still in shock. His death was sudden.

My point is that there is no right or wrong way. Speak from the heart, and you will do your family proud.

Agree. Good advice. It is almost better not to read from something. Just speak from the heart on valium, if needed.

I did this for both of my grandfathers (they both died within one week. One expected, the other sudden and completely unexpected). So glad I was able to do it. Hard but completely worth it
