I've never had a problem with bugs. I've had the same box for months and its holding up well. I will consider some kind of preventive bug care for the next one.
My wife orders shite from Amazon daily and I have never seen a bug.

I use a collapsible laundry basket to put bait fish in when I throw my castnet for white bait

If you like, I will mention this to my Dad. He will come over and wet it down with a hose, fold and mash it to the size of a big mac box before throwing it away. And then insist you come out and look at all the extra room you now have in your trash can for more trash.
