So whose fault is it now?

I’m not going to lie. You ruined my thread. I don’t fault you for being savvy enough to eat through and economic downturn but you don’t have to pompous about it.
You’ve repeatedly ignored people’s question of what business it is you own. While people have guessed it’s your phone, I think it’s digital advertising or some sort of teleconferencing platform. That’s the only thing I can think that requires that amount of training of an employee. I could be wrong but I don’t think you’re selling cell phones.
For the record, I have a job. I also make middle class money. My investments are currently at a zero percent return and I’m practically insulated from this downturn. Yet here I am advocating for the things to start to get back to normal quickly. Most of my family and friends are also still employed and unaffected by this. It bothers me that people can’t earn a living at the moment. That people who have given their lives to their job or business are so easily cast aside. I’m bothered by the small things like people getting their graduation day and moment of accomplishment or celebrating other seminal moments in their life.
Dr. Fauci is has some serious conflicts of interest with Gilead. He’s trying to secure his and his buddies he works with future by this “pandemic.” With all that being said, the local politicians are showing weakness by not disobeying the governor’s stay at home order. Businesses should open and defy the government saying they have been given no notice. Once they are given notice, they should seek an injunction based on a violation of their constitutional rights.

You ruined my thread
I apologize. I'm new here and I am sure I violated board etiquette if nothing else. I just signed up after LSU won the National Championship.
As for my job, it's easier to realize that people wanted to avoid answering any questions I asked and wanted to shift the narrative. The thread would have then shifted to my job and my bona fides despite any attempts to steer it back on topic.
I do stand my premise that life does not owe you a living and that it takes hard work, diligence, and perseverance to be successful and I will always take a dim view of anyone who puts down another person's vocation.
You have very articulately expressed your viewpoint and given me a lot to consider. So I thank you for that. It does not hurt to consider someone else's point of view.

It’s all good man. You live and you learn. I’m glad you support the tigers.
ETA: for those of you wondering about why I said what I said about notice and running/opening your business.
TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 242
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, ... shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnaping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
I’m sure the police officers whose duty it is to uphold the law understand that using their weapons to enforce this unlawful stay at home order could subject themselves to significant federal prison time. The gig is up.

That is not an answer. It costs me an average of $80K to recruit and train an employee. If they say they don't think they can work in our work environment safely should I let them go. Or should I try to treat them like family and address their concerns which include mitigating this pandemic?
That’s a decision for you to make as a business owner, you shouldn’t need the government to tell you it’s mandatory.
