I think it has just evolved into a local guy that people can mess with(make fun of) on here. I dont think anyone really cares outside of the threads we talk about him in.

MLK was an outsider & recruited as spokesperson for Montgomery Bus boycott specifically because he was an outsider.
He certainly wasn't from Birmingham ( Bombingham Alabama ) where he was jailed once.
Nor Selma , Alabama or Memphis, TN where he was protesting days before he was assassinated.
Your Southern forbearers asked the same questions about " outside agitators" like MLK during the Civil Rights Movement.
But don't dare ask about the residence of ' hired guns' on a Police / Sheriff Department .
ETA: Not comparing this very obscure guy to MLK that few have ever heard of outside the obsession here at TD.

Yeah but this is a guy making a case strictly based upon "the police don't live in this community so why should they be allowed to work there". He's christened himself the savior of North BR but he doesn't live there either.

Let's put it this way. I worked a homicide almost 4 years ago where a 3 year old was beaten to death by a live in boyfriend and it has not yet gone to trial.
