The tech workers want to live in cities and Uber to wherever they have to go. They put off homebuying as far as possible.
The Libs complain that there is not enough money for schooling but when a proposition came to local taxation they voted to base their property taxes at a lower rate. They chose to pay less taxes rather than higher taxes!
So if a family bought house in 1990 at 200K and it’s now worth $3M - typical - they only pay taxes based on the 200K. They pay property tax is not on current market rates but on rate at a time when they bought a house.
They voted for this yet they complain that Not enough money is given for government.
