Looking at the thread about the large tom cat spotted in Mississippi and one of our guys made a comment about having mountain lions in Louisiana and mississippi.
Said when he was young, he would headlight at night and routinely spin around to see a large cat following him through the woods waiting for him to kill and field dress something.
I asked him if he was ever scared and he busted out laughing.
Said a mountain lion isn't a real lion anyways. So I asked him if he honestly believed a mountain lion couldnt kill him.
His response, "it doesn't matter if I believe it, that cat knows it."
I'm like 90% sure I've heard this before
In any case, baw status likely.

That's a dumb arse that doesn't know the difference between a bobcat and mountain lion

Saw a bobcat dead on the side of the road near Thibodaux yesterday.

I saw one in Sherburne once. Was trailing a gut shot doe and it jumped up 30 or 40 yards in front of us. gave us a cold stare and slunk off.
